LONGVIEW, TEXAS– (August 11, 2026) — Longview Regional Medical Center has named Rob Terry Jr., MSN, RN, as its new chief nursing officer, effective Aug. 17, 2026.
In his new role, Terry will oversee nursing operations throughout the hospital, lead clinical quality and patient safety initiatives, and support Longview Regional Medical Center’s continued growth and commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

An East Texas native, Terry is an accomplished nurse executive with more than 18 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience. Throughout his career, he has earned a reputation for improving clinical quality, patient safety, employee engagement and operational performance while building strong, patient-centered clinical teams.
Terry most recently served as chief nursing officer for UT Health East Texas–Quitman, where he provided executive oversight for nursing, quality, patient safety and clinical operations across the critical access hospital and its affiliated outpatient services.
During his tenure at UT Health East Texas–Quitman, the organization consistently achieved five-star ratings from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services for overall hospital quality and patient experience. The hospital also received recognition from Modern Healthcare and Becker’s Hospital Review for excellence in quality, patient experience, workplace culture and clinical performance. Additionally, the hospital earned Ardent Health’s highest quality distinction for exceeding enterprise-wide performance goals across all quality metrics.
A champion of evidence-based leadership and continuous improvement, Terry led initiatives that resulted in top 1% national performance in sepsis compliance and seven consecutive years without a catheter-associated urinary tract infection or central line-associated bloodstream infection. His leadership also contributed to significant reductions in nursing turnover and sustained improvements in employee engagement and operational performance.
Terry earned his Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Tyler. In addition to his executive leadership experience, he serves as nursing faculty at Northeast Texas Community College, where he mentors the next generation of nurses and healthcare leaders.
Known for his collaborative and servant-minded leadership style, Terry believes exceptional patient care begins with investing in people. He is passionate about developing strong clinical teams, fostering a culture of accountability and compassion, and ensuring every patient receives safe, high-quality care.
